7 Ways to Style Your Patio Decor from Summer to Fall

The business objective was to support another promotional push for Lowe’s patio collection as peak summer season ends and fall begins. The challenge was to target keywords used in previously published patio articles without duplicating content. This article was featured in a dedicated e-blast to approx. 700k subscribers as well as social media and on-site banners.
Creative process
I performed SEO keyword research and organized terms from high to low search volume, which impacted the order of items in the listicle. Following creative direction by the Content & Social Media Manager, I drafted editorial copy and coordinated with our design agency for image assets. In my creative brief, I ensured img alt tags were also SEO-optimized to ensure we also target search intent of customers performing image searches for our products.
To comply with accessibility standards and to increase our reach in image searches, I crafted SEO-optimized img alt tags for all images in my listicle. For example, this lifestyle photo had the following descriptive text: “romantic outdoor living room includes patio set, area rug, fireplace and twinkling string lights”.
